The Arizona Cardinals have a pair of practice this week without game planning, as it is the bye week. But it will be practice with young players for the most part. Head coach Bruce Arians, in speaking with the media on Monday, indicating rest is on the horizon for some players and when the team gets back from the bye, everyone will be available.
When asked what he wants the team to do this week, he said he wants them to rest.
"Get a lot of treatment and get ready for an eight-game stretch that's going to be very, very physical and very, very difficult," he explained. "We'll practice our young guys these two days and rest most of the guys, especially offensively, who played 75 snaps."
Arians also indicated the team should be healthy when they return next week.
"Hopefully next Tuesday, we'll have everyone," he said. Center Lyle Sendlein injured his shoulder on Sunday and is set to get an MRI to see the severity of the injury, but Arians does not seem to think it will be something to worry about. "We should have all hands on deck on Tuesday."
That means the return of starting tight end Darren Fells and outside linebacker Alex Okafor.
With the physical Seahawks on the road and then the 7-0 Bengals coming to town after that, having a health team will really be key.
