NFL Week 9 picks and predictions: Madden sim predicts Cardinals loss to bye week

Funny, right?

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

We have had a weekly game preview that sims the Arizona Cardinals against their next opponent. The results have mostly been bad, with the video game predicting some bad losses. The Arizona Cardinals do not have a game this week, as they are on their bye week. But that shouldn't stop us from simulating it in Madden.

The results?

Madden predicted a 20-9 loss to the bye week.

Carson Palmer was sacked three times and left the game with an injury. Drew Stanton finished the game completing only two passes.

Chris Johnson rushed for 110 yards, but coughed the ball up in the red zone twice, while some non-name running back managed to find the end zone twice for the bye.

The only bright spot was Chandler Catanzaro, who hit all three field goal attempts, including a 58-yard attempt.

Once again, the video game shows a lack of respect for one of the league's top offenses in real life.
