The inactive lists are out for the Arizona Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona gets a little more help on the defensive line, but will be down a tight end. Jermaine Gresham, who was doubtful for the game, is inactive and will not dress for the Thursday night matchup. They will, though, get reinforcements on the defensive line as Cory Redding returns after missing two games with an ankle injury.
Darren Fells and Troy Niklas will be the two tight ends to get all the playing time in two-tight sets, while they will rely on backup center A.Q. Shipley to come in as a fullback or the third tight end.
Running back Andre Ellington is also inactive, although he was already ruled out for the game. Rookie David Johnson will get his second start in a row. In his start on Sunday, he rushed for 99 yards and had a touchdown reception in St. Louis.
Here is the full list for the Cardinals:
QB Matt Barkley
CB Jerraud Powers
RB Andre Elllington
OLB Shaq Riddick
T D.J. Humphries
TE Jermaine Gresham
DT Frostee Rucker
Rucker and Powers are also missing their second straight game. Ed Stinson will start in Rucker's place, while Justin Bethel will get his third start at cornerback.
For Minnesota, they are a M.A.S.H unit on defense. They will be without four starters on defense, including both their starting safeties.
Their inactives are:
QB Taylor Heinicke
S Harrison Smith
S Andrew Sendejo
LB Anthony Barr
LB Brandon Watts
C Nick Easton
DT Linvall Joseph
They have to make a flurry of lineup changes. Terence Newman will move from his starting corner spot to start at safety. Rookie Trae Waynes slides into the starting lineup in Newman's place at corner. Anthony Harris starts in place of Sendejo. Edmond Robinson replaces Barr at linebacker. Sharrif Floyd slides over to Joseph's position, while Tom Johnson will start where Floyd normally does.
Here we go. We are about an hour away.
