So it appears it is a Pro Bowl Friday with what I have written this morning. To continue with the theme, Pro Football Focus recently released its Pro bowl team for this season. Five Arizona Cardinals players make the cut. you won't be surprised or disappointed in any of them.
The five players? QB Carson Palmer, WR Larry Fitzgerald, CB Patrick Peterson, S Tyrann Mathieu and CB Justin Bethel (as a special teamer).
Palmer has been PFF's top-rated QB all season and he has team team records. He should be a lock for the Pro Bowl.
Fitz is having a resurgence this season. With his production this season combined with his star power and respect among his fellow players, it would be an upset if he were not selected.
Peterson has been to the Pro Bowl every year he has been in the league. His play this year merits it continues.
Mathieu has become a star and is earning more and more respect from his peers, while Bethel is "in a class of his own" as a special teams player.
Could you argue other players? Mike Iupati has been the best lineman on the team. Jared Veldheer deserves it, according to Carson Palmer. Calais Campbell made it a year ago. Rashad Johnson leads the team in interceptions.
Of course, we would all prefer they get selected but not be able to play. That would happen if the Cardinals make it to the Super Bowl.
Do you see any snubs or surprises from PFF?
