The Arizona Cardinals, despite giving up 424 total yards of offense to the Philadelphia Eagles, earned high grades from Pro Football Focus. For one, tackling was no longer an issue.
According to PFF stats, Arizona missed 11 tackles in their 23-20 win in Week 14 over the Minnesota Vikings. Against Philadelphia, they only missed one the entire game. They were also credited for 22 defensive stops, a stat given to a tackle made before a set amount of yards, depending on the down.
Calais Campbell was again disruptive. While he did not collect a sack, he did lead the team with five quarterback disruptions. As a team, the Cardinals sacked Sam Bradford twice, hit him seven times and caused eight hurries.
Individual players earned high grades. Josh Mauro, who had four tackles and a forced fumble, earned a +4.2. Tyrann Mathieu earned a +3.9.
Tony Jefferson, who played every snap, was solid against the run with a +1.8, but he struggled in coverage, earning a -3.4.
