It is Thursday Night Football and...this is an actual intriguing matchup, especially for the Arizona Cardinals. The Green Bay Packers play the Detroit Lions in Detroit.
It is a good game for Cardinals fans because how Green Bay does matters. Green Bay losses are good for the Cardinals this week. The Lions, on the other hand, have gone from being awful (when they played the Cardinals and were terrible) to being pretty good. They have won three of their last five and have improved to 4-7, while the Packers have dropped four of five.
Green Bay is favored by three. I like the thought of the Packers rebounding, but they don't make any sense. Plus it is a short week and on the road. Calvin Johnson is coming back and Matthew Stafford is playing very well in his last five games. Picking against the spread, I will go Lions +3.
As for straight up winner picks, this is how the staff goes:
Packers: Tyler Derby, Shaun Church. Michael Ferguson, Robert Norman, Randy Fields
Lions: Jess Root, Jesse Reynolds, Delilah Cassidy
