Podcast: Expectations for the Arizona Cardinals, losing Tyrann Mathieu, rest or no, reviewing 2 big wins

The final show of 2015 covers two wins and discusses things moving forward.

After a holiday hiatus, Seth Cox and I got back on the podcast and we had a lot to talk about. Our previous show came before the Arizona Cardinals were to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Since then, they have won two more games by a combined 78-25 score, clinched the NFC West title and a playoff bye. Plus, Tyrann Mathieu tore his ACL and was lost for the rest of the season.

What did we discuss?

We led with what stood out in the two wins. We discuss the pass rush, David Johnson and Michael Floyd. We talked about the progression of the season and how they are playing their best football now just before the playoffs.

We go over the notion of resting players. It was mutual between the two -- Arizona shouldn't be resting players. It goes against the way Bruce Arians coaches. We all have enjoyed his "no risk it, no biscuit" approach. Let it keep going. It is the identity of the team.

We touch on the loss of Tyrann Mathieu and how the Cardinals can handle the loss.

Lastly, we talk about expectations. Nothing less than making the Super Bowl will be good. Anything will be an unfulfilled year, a wasted opportunity.
