The Arizona Cardinals close out their NFC West road schedule on Sunday, facing the only team in the division who has beaten them. The take on the St. Louis Rams, losers of four straight ballgames, in an attempt to improve to 4-1 in the division, 10-2 overall and avenge an early-season home loss.
Arizona will have to do it with a slightly different cast. Their top two running backs -- Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington -- will not play. Ellington has been ruled out with turf toe and Johnson landed on short-term IR with a fractured tibia. Rookie David Johnson will carry the bulk of the load and get a chance to redeem himself against the Rams. He fumbled the opening kickoff and dropped a touchdown pass in the 24-22 loss to the Rams.
They also will play without two defensive starters -- defensive tackle Frostee Rucker and cornerback Jerraud Powers.
However, the Rams have been awful lately and appear to have quit, although you can kiss Jeff Fisher's ass if you think that is the case.
Nick Foles gets the start at quarterback after Case Keenum still has not passed the concussion protocol. Foles was good against Arizona. He threw three touchdown passes without an interception in the Rams win. He has thrown fourt touchdown passes and nine interceptions against everyone else in the league.
