Deone Bucannon goes the distance vs. Rams after limited work vs 49ers

A look at the defensive snap count for the Cardinals.

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Against the St. Louis Rams, the Arizona Cardinals defense didn't have play much. They managed only to have 50 defensive snaps, as they help the Rams to 1/12 on third down. Five players went the distance, including Deone Bucannon, who saw limited action in San Francisco after suffering a concussion.

Linebacker Sean Weatherpoon also saw some work for the second week in a row on defense.

Here are the snap counts:

Defensive backs: Justin Bethel, 50; Patrick Peterson, 50; Rashad Johnson, 50; Tyrann Mathieu, 50; Deone Bucannon, 50; Tony Jefferson, 36; Corey White, 3

White saw a few snaps. The one guy we were made to believe who would but didn't was receiver Brittan Golden, who was moved to defensive back last week.

Linebackers: Markus Golden, 36; Kevin Minter, 35; Alex Okafor, 25; Dwight Freeney, 25; Sean Weatherspoon, 12; Alani Fua, 3

For really the first time this season, Minter doesn't play all the snaps. Weatherspoon got some snaps for the second week in a row.

Defensive line: Calais Campbell, 46; Ed Stinson, 30; Josh Mauro, 18; Rodney Gunter, 17; Xavier Williams, 10; Red Bryant, 7

Stinson was the guy who the Cardinals missed. He was very active and played a lot. It would appear Gunter and Williams are beginning to split time.
