NFL free agency: Brian Orakpo still in Tennessee, no confirmed visit with Cardinals yet

The pass rusher might not ever make it here.

The Arizona Cardinals, searching for a pass rusher this offseason, are waiting on Washington Redskins free agent Brian Orakpo. He is a player the team is pursuing and it was originally thought he would visit with the team on Wednesday, but that didn't happen.

It might not happen at all.

He spent all Wednesday in Tennessee with the Titans and, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson, Orakpo is still in Tennessee without a confirmed visit set with the Cardinals.

In Tennessee, he would be coached by Ray Horton and Dick LeBeau and has friends on the team.

The thought is he will come visit the Cardinals if a deal doesn't get done with the Titans.

If the Cardinals do not land Orakpo, their options among pass rushers are limited. Pernell McPhee signed with the Bears. Jason Worilds retired. Jerry Hughes re-signed with the Bills.

They could turn to Derrick Morgan or other players considered on the next level down in skill.

Orakpo has suffered torn pectoral muscles two of the last three seasons, but the other seasons he did not have those injuries, he averaged almost 10 sacks a season, including 10 in 2013.
