It was time to fire up Revenge of the Birds Radio once again. After two weeks off to let NFL free agency play out as it does the first week -- always a frenzy of interest, rumor and transactions -- the dust has settled and we can see what the Arizona Cardinals have done.

Seth Cox and I discussed the Cardinals, free agency and a little bit about Adrian Peterson on the latest episode of the podcast.

After running through the headlines, we discuss the moves the Cardinals made to add free agents on the offensive line, defensive line and at linebacker. We talk about what they lost with Antonio Cromartie, Darnell Dockett, Lyle Sendlein and Dan Williams getting new deals elsewhere or being released.

We applauded the addition of Corey Peters and Cory Redding, as they bring versatility and their ability to be more than one-dimensional easily offsets the losses of Dockett and Williams.

We talk about the signing of Sean Weatherspoon and what that perhaps means about the future of Kevin Minter or Daryl Washington.

We look at the offensive line with the addition of Mike Iupati and what that says about Jonathan Cooper. I say how, with the loss of Sendlein, the line now belongs to Jared Veldheer. We both agree Jonathan Cooper has gone from the future of left guard to just a guy in the mix for right guard. They still want him and hope he pans out, but the fact he is "battling" with journeyman Ted Larsen, late round project Earl Watford and a second year undrafted guy in Anthony Steen shows you Cooper is no longer being given the treatment of a guy who is expected to come in and be an impact player. It is still hoped he will be, but he has become "just a guy," as Seth noted in the show.

We discuss briefly who of the Cardinals free agents might return and who is on the chopping block with the new players added.

Then we delved into the Adrian Peterson situation, in terms of how the Cardinals have "addressed" (not addressed) the running back position. The fact they did nothing speaks loudly to the thought that the Cardinals truly are thinking about adding Peterson.

I also made a prediction regarding the running back position. It perhaps will be unpopular. Since the Cards haven't added a veteran to the position -- something I believe is very important and something we have seen the team do to every position -- if they don't end up landing Peterson, I believe the back that will end up back in Arizona is Jonathan Dwyer.

The show will return in two weeks and the NFL Draft will take over, so lots more from Seth.
