With less than a month remaining until the 2015 NFL Draft, mock drafts will rule. On NFL.com, they have three right now. One comes from Lance Zierlein, son of Cardinals offensive line coach Larry Zierlein. The other two guys, Charles Davis and Bucky Brooks, are NFL.com regulars.
What do their projections look like for the Cardinals?
Lance Zierlein projects the Cardinals take Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon.
The Cardinals are looking to improve their defensive front, but they also spent big money on Mike Iupati to get the running game going. Adding Gordon wouldn't hurt.
Charles Davis goes on the defensive side of the ball, having the Cardinals land Virginia OLB Eli Harold.
A terrific, underrated talent whose stock is rising the closer we get to draft day. With the addition of free-agent Sean Weatherspoon, the Cards jump up the talent on defense.
Bucky Brooks has Bud Dupree fall all the way to No. 24, where the Cardinals snatch him up.
The ex-Wildcat is a spectacular athlete with explosive speed, quickness and power. He is a better athlete than player at this point, but he could develop into a disruptive force when he settles in as an edge rusher in the Cardinals' hybrid 3-4.
Of the three, my favorite pick pick would be Dupree, although I highly doubt he will be available. Both Gordon and Harold are reasonable thoughts, though more and more the sentiment seems to be the Cardinals will look later in the draft for a running back.
Which of the three mocks would you like the best?
