Free agency is a bout a week away for the NFL. That meant it was time to bring back Revenge of the Bird Radio and fire up a new podcast. Seth and I had not done a show in over a month and there was lot to catch up on.
There were some brief technical issues a few minutes into the show, but they were resolved.
We talked briefly about the Larry Fitzgerald contract and the promotion of James Bettcher to defensive coordinator. We discussed Darnell Dockett, his release, whether he could return and whether fans should be upset if he signs with a rival.
Then we looked at some players on the roster and soon to be free agents. How likely is it percentage-wise they will be a Cardinal for the 2015 season? We discussed Dan Williams, Antonio Cromartie, Lyle Sendlein, John Carlson, Rob Housler and others.
Then we talked about the fun running back rumors -- Adrian Peterson and DeMarco Murray.
Seth is concerned long-term with the effects of how Peterson could mask problems the Cards have, while I say go for it.
We also debate pass rushers and other potential free agent targets, as well as consider whether it would be worth it to pry away Justin Houston from the Chiefs despite the franchise tag he has.
It's a long show, so sit back and relax. Listen to the show using the player above, this direct link or the embedded player that follows. You can also subscribe to the show on iTunes or Stitcher Radio.
The show will be back in two weeks to talk about the moves the Cardinals have made in free agency.
