Free agency is now here for the NFL and the new league year...sort of.
The actual league year does not begin until Tuesday and current contracts do not expire until then, but because of years of talks happening before when it should happen, there is now a "legal tampering" period, where teams and certified player agents can communicate and begin negotiations starting at 1 PM Eastern (10 AM Arizona time)
There are still rules.
Teams cannot make contact with any player still under contract. No visits can occur, nor can they be scheduled. They can only speak to agents, so for those players who represent themselves, this weekend does not apply.
What rumors will begin?
Typically, nothing really happens with the Cardinals. They tend to do a good job of keeping things close to the vest.
