NFL free agents: Arizona Cardinals 'very interested' in Trent Cole, but no visit scheduled before Tuesday

Will he make it to Arizona before getting signed?

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

We discussed it on the site as possible value pass rusher, and the Arizona Cardinals have interest. Veteran pass rusher Trent Cole is on the Cardinals radar, along with several other teams.

According to ESPN reporter Adam Caplan, the Cardinals have "real interest" in the linebacker/defensive end.

Cole had 6.5 sacks in 2014 and has 85.5 in his career.

According to Cole's own Twitter account, he is visiting with the Cleveland Browns Sunday and Monday before heading to Indianapolis to visit the Colts on Tuesday. He reportedly has a visit scheduled the Cardinals, although which day it is has not been reported.

Cole can visit any team and can sign at any time, as he was released by the Eagles. He can make visits and does not have to wait for the Tuesday start of the new league year.

Cole will turn 33 this season. He does not, though, have a history of injuries. He has missed only five games in his 10 years in the league.

Do you want the veteran, and do you think he will even make it to Arizona before he is signed?
