The NFL draft is 29 days away, so that leaves 29 more days of pure speculation as to who we pick in the first round. Luckily there are now some concrete dates as to when the Cardinals will hold their offseason workouts, including OTA's and Minicamp. Which means knee high socks once again from Bruce Arians.
-- Starting April 20th, players can work with strength and conditioning coaches. Players cannot speak to Arians or the coordinators about football specifics.
-- May 4th (May the 4th be with you... Star Wars anyone?) players can begin on the field work. There is no contact, no helmets may be put on, and the offense cannot face the defense.
-- May 8th-10th is the rookie mini-camp. The team will likely bring in several UDFA's for tryouts, and players who missed last year with injuries will also likely attend, Troy Niklas and Alameda Ta'Amu come to mind.
-- OTA's will be held on three, three day intervals. Those dates are, May 19-21, May 26-28, June 1-4. During this period, the team is allowed helmets and can scrimmage offense vs defense.
-- Five days later, the team will conclude offseason work with a full mini-camp. that will run from June 9th to the 11th. That will bring a close to the teams 2015 offseason, until Training Camp is announced, likely in late July.
Larry Fitzgerald will of course hold his annual workout in Minnesota, and it would be of no surprise to see plenty of his fellow receivers and quarterbacks.
