The Arizona Cardinals got in on the trade fun during the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. After trading back three spots from the 55th pick overall to the 58th, Arizona selected pass rusher Markus Golden out of Missouri.
Golden, a 6-2, 260-pound edge player addresses the pass rushing need the Cardinals have.
Golden had 10 sacks in 2014 with the Missouri Tigers and 20 tackles for losses. He forced three fumbles.
While the pick does fill a need, if you look at projections, he was not expected to be selected until the fourth or fifth round.
He is considered a high-character player, the sort of guy the Cardinals have been drafting. According to RockmNation,SB Nation's Missouri Tigers site, Golden is "a natural leader, and an A+ teammate. He's a player that you want to have in your locker room."
He is considered an effort pass rusher, but he is strong enough to set the edge, which is something the Cardinals expect from their outside linebackers.
