The Arizona Cardinals got to close the 2015 NFL Draft. Given the 256th and final pick in the draft as a compensatory selection, they have wrapped up the three-day event selecting Louisville tight end Gerald Christian.
Christian is 6-3 and 244 pounds. In 2014, he was third team All-ACC. He played two seasons with Louisville after transferring from Florida, where he felt underutilized.
In two seasons, he caught 60 passes for 810 yards and nine touchdowns.
At Florida, he was used primarily as a blocker. He caught only one pass before transferring to Louisville.
Head coach Bruce Arians said he would like an H-back type tight end. Christian played all over the field for the Cardinals (the ones in Louisville) and is considered a decent blocker.
Christian goes from being a Louisville Cardinal to an Arizona Cardinal.
That will wrap up the 2015 draft class for the Cardinals. How do you think it went?
