Ideal salary cap team includes some Arizona Cardinals

Putting together a great team while still using the cap has some key Cardinals.

Every team wants to put the best team on the field. They want the best players possible. But they have to deal with the salary cap, which means getting the best players under the best deals in the market. Some players you have to overpay for or simply end up overpaying. Others are underpaid.

Former agent Joel Corry attempted to put together the perfect salary cap team. There were some Arizona Cardinals on that team.

He deems Aaron Rodgers worth the more than $18 million price tag and then uses Zach Mettenberger as his backup.

Receiver John Brown appears on the team as one of the receivers. His ability to play like a T.Y. Hilton and his price tag of less than $700,000 makes him ideal.

Brown can take the top off of defenses with his blazing speed.

In what could be a surprise, Corry puts Cardinals center A.Q. Shipley on his team as a backup. Making only $735,000 in 2015 makes him a good value on the bench and he is starter quality and can play both center and guard.

Shipley is an experienced vet that provides depth at center. He's started 19 games in his three NFL seasons.

No other Cardinals made the list, but it is understandable. Guys like Calais Campbell, Patrick Peterson, Mike Iupati and Jared Veldheer have big cap numbers. Perhaps Tyrann Mathieu or Andre Ellington would make a good addition. If Dan Bailey weren't so great, perhaps Chandler Catanzaro could be the kicker, but then again, he is not as accomplished.

Would there be any players on the list would replace with a Cardinals player?
