In one of many types of offseason posts, there are predictions and projections. How about projecting who would be the best offensive players in the NFC West? We've got one of those from Fox Sports.
Guess what? Four Arizona Cardinals make the list. Would you agree?
At receiver, Larry Fitzgerald appears, grouped with Seattle's Doug Baldwin and San Fran's Anquan Boldin.
Wide receiver is by far the weakest position in the NFC West. Fitzgerald is coming off a couple of down seasons, but he is still probably the most feared receiver in the division and can still put up huge numbers. With a new contract, a lot to prove, and a healthy Carson Palmer, look for vintage Fitzgerald this season.
This might be very wrong. While everyone thinks Fitz will have a bounce back year, there is one thing to keep in mind -- he still might be the third or fourth option on offense after Andre Ellington and John Brown...and maybe Michael Floyd. The man who might actually be the man of this group is Brown, who is being talked about like he's going to have a huge year.
But here is the fun part -- three Cardinals linemen are projected to be the best in the division. They include Jared Veldheer, Mike Iupati and A.Q. Shipley.
Veldheer and Iupati are not huge surprises. Veldheer was a man last year. Iupati is already familiarly on such lists for his previous play in San Francisco. Shipley, though, is a fun one.
Can you imagine THREE Cardinals linemen forming an all-division squad? And here's a kicker...what if Jonathan Cooper has a big year? Could Arizona have four of the five spots?
As for other positions, it is hard to argue. However, a healthy Carson Palmer for 16 games, playing the way he did last season in his six games would probably put him ahead of Russell Wilson.
Do you agree with this predicted squad of division all-stars?
