John Abraham in trouble again, wanted on battery charge

The free agent pass rusher has more offseason trouble.

Arizona Cardinals free agent linebacker John Abraham has had better years. An Atlanta Journal-Constitution report states the former Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons pass rusher "is wanted by Brookhaven police on a charge of misdemeanor battery," after allegedly giving "a business associate...a bloody nose."

The latest accusation is one in a string of events. He missed three weeks of training camp last year when he was in rehab, which stemmed from a DUI arrest he had in Georgia.

After arriving late to training camp, he played only in the season opener, when he suffered a concussion that ended his season.

The altercation allegedly happened in February with Vladimir Ako, with whom Abraham owned a beverage business.

It happened at the Pink Pony, a strip club in Brookhaven. His 2014 DUI arrest also came after leaving the Pink Pony and falling asleep at the wheel, but in Atlanta.

Abraham has also had other legal run-ins. He had a DWI in 2003 in Long Island and obstruction charges in 2012 in Atlanta.

Abraham is still unsigned and this latest event makes an unlikely signing even more unlikely.
