Arizona Cardinals officially sign Jermaine Gresham, place Damond Powell on non-football injury list

The Arizona Cardinals officially signed tight end Jermaine Gresham to a contract, meaning they had to make a roster move to add him to the roster. TO make room for him, they placed undrafted rookie Damond Powell on the non-football injury reserve.

Powell now does not count against the 90-man roster.

Powell was shot while in his hometown over the weekend and is recovering from the shotgun wounds. One bullet hit him in the jaw. The other hit him in the neck.

He now is in stable condition, but who knows how long it will be before he is able to get back on the field.
