Well, one half of football is in the books. The Arizona Cardinals rushed out to a 10-0 lead, but gave up 17 unanswered points the rest of the way to go into halftime down 17-10.
The good news is the first team was fantastic. The offense went down the field and scored a touchdown. Palmer was 7-7 for 74 yards and Andre Ellington had a 57-yard catch and the touchdown run from two yards out.
Then the defense forced a turnover, with Tyrann Mathieu picking off a third down Alex Smith pass and the second team offense gained a couple of yards so Chandler Catanzaro could hit a field goal.
After that, the starters were done and it looked like that.
Now we have a half left of football, but we are looking at individual players. Who are you going to watch now?
This is your second half open thread.
There are a couple of things to remember:
1. Site decorum is off -- profanities are okay in this thread. I ask that you not go overboard, though.
2. No personal attacks. Community members ought to respect guests and guests should remember this is a Cardinals community. Act as if you were visiting someone's home.
3. Do not share or request any online game feeds. The only legal one is NFL Game Pass, which you can get fro free for a week.
For updates, I am embedding a pair of Twitter widgets. Enjoy the game!
