Arizona Cardinals injuries: Sean Weatherspoon still out, Jerraud Powers sits, many getting healthy

Players finally getting healthy, except for one.

Entering the final week of training camp, Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians gave an update of the injury situation for the team. It is getting better, although there is a lot of disappointment in linebacker Sean Weatherspoon.

Receiver Michael Floyd and guard Mike Iupati are obviously out.

Cornerback Jerraud Powers has had some hamstring issues, so the team "will shut him down."

Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon is still out with a hamstring injury and will miss most of this week, said Arians.

After that, the injuries  are more minor.

Running back Chris Johnson, whose hamstring injury was believed to keep him out for a week or two, now is day-to-day.

Jermaine Gresham sat out Monday's practice and that should be it. Receiver Brittan Golden missed Monday's practice and that should be it. Offensive lineman Earl Watford missed Monday with an ankle  issue (he had an injection), but should be good to go for Wednesday. The players are off Tuesday.

Some players returned. Most notably was fifth round outside linebacker Shaq Riddick, who has missed almost every single practice of the offseason. Tackle Rob Crisp also came back, as did cornerback Jonte Green.

Arians said the status of Weatherspoon is "discouraging right now, to not know where he's at as a football player, having missed most of last year and all of this camp." Arians indicated he needs to see "a lot" from him, as he hasn't seen anything with pads on.
