While the Arizona Cardinals managed to leave CA with a win, it wasn't due to the play of the starters. Oakland, looked better on both sides, and it seemed that finding an in game wow moment that was generated by other than Raider silver and black was going to be nigh impossible. Then the second and third teamers took the field for the Cardinals and managed to look competent against the Oakland Raiders, making some wow plays, and snatching victory from the opponent. Thank you second and third team players. Now, lets take a look at your contributions.
Cariel Brooks interception of Derek Carr: This was the momentum changer for the Cardinals. Carr made a horrible decision with the ball and Brooks made him pay, stepping in front of the receiver and returning it 81 yards for six.
Drew Stanton to David Johnson for six: While the first string offense struggled, Stanton came in and marched the offense 80 yards down the field, capping the drive with a touchdown pass to Johnson in the corner of the end zone.
Phillip Sims to Kerwynn Williams: Not to be outdone by Stanton to Johnson, Sims came in, advanced 59 yards and then found Williams, who after running into contact in the middle of the line, bounced it outside and found the touchdown.
Logan Thomas to Ifeanyi Momah for a first down: Third and sixteen, and Thomas connects with Momah, who was short of the first but carried a crew of Radiers with hi in a gusty effort that picked up a new set of downs.
Marion Grice touchdown run: With 31 seconds left, Grice gave the Cardinals the lead with an 11 yard scamper into the end zone.
How about it Birdgang, what play made your wow list?
