2015 NFL roster cuts: Rob Crisp waived by Arizona Cardinals, roster down to 75

The offensive lineman was intriguing to the team.

The Arizona Cardinals announced the final roster move to get their roster down to the required 75 players. After letting go of 10 players and waiving/injured one player, the team released one final player -- undrafted rookie tackle Rob Crisp.

Crisp signed with the Cardinals after he went undrafted out of North Carolina State. One can imagine the Cardinals thought highly of him when they signed him. He was given a $15,000 signing bonus. Teams have a total of $86,000 they can use to sign undrafted rookies. The only player to get a bigger bonus was linebacker Alani Fua out of BYU, who was given $17,000.

I don't know if this would qualify as a surprise, but it has to be a bit of a disappointment for the team.

After first cuts, these are the players the Cardinals let go:

  • OLB Lorenzo Alexander
  • ILB Glenn Carson
  • T Rob Crisp
  • WR Travis Harvey (waivied/injured -- if not claimed, he will land on injured reserve)
  • Nate Isles
  • ILB Edwin Jackson
  • ILB Andrae Kirk
  • CB Shaquille Richardson
  • TE Gannon Sinclair
  • WR Ryan Spadola
  • CB Darren Woodard
  • P Dave Zastudil
The team has until Saturday 4 PM Eastern (1 PM Arizona time) to make final cuts to get the roster down to 53 players and be under the salary cap, counting all players on the roster, injured reserve and also with room for the 10-player practice squad each team will have.
