The inactive list is out for both the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints. As was seemingly expected, Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd is active and ready to play. Perhaps a surprise to some, first round pick D.J. Humphries is inactive.
Perhaps the only surprise inactive is Humphries, who drew several public critical comments from head coach Bruce Arians. However, with Bradley Sowell on the roster, who has more experience at both tackle positions, it makes sense for the rookie to sit.
Here are the inactives for both teams.
Cardinals:
QB Matt Barkley
WR Brittan Golden
LB Shaq Riddick
OT D.J. Humphries
G Mike Iupati
TE Joseph Fauria
NT Xavier Williams
With Fauria inactive, it means the Cardinals will rely on both Jermaine Gresham and Troy Niklas to play opposite Darren Fells at tight. Both players missed a ton of time in training camp with injuries.
Saints:
QB Garrett Grayson
CB Keenan Lewis
RB C.J. Spiller
S Jairus Byrd
DE Obum Gwachum
LB Daniel Ellerbe
DT Kaleb Ellis
