Cardinals vs. Bears injury report: Andre Ellington sits out, Mike Iupati returns to practice

An early look at who is missing practice time.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The first injury report of the week for both the Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears is out. For Arizona, it meanst seeing how starting left guard Mike Iupati got some work in at practice. Running back Andre Ellington sat out.

Here is what the injury report looked like:

RB Andre Ellington (knee): DNP
G Mike Iupati (knee): limited
WR Michael Floyd (hand): full
TE Jermaine Gresham (hamstring): full
TE Troy Niklas (hamstring): full

Ellington is not likely to play. He has not been ruled out fro this week, but he is expected to miss one to three weeks.

Iupati's return does not seem likely for this week, but reports are he is targeting Week 3. That would make sense because that is when the San Francisco 49ers come to town and he played his first several seasons for the 49ers. Of course he would want to play.

Head coach Bruce Arians said there were setbacks with Michael Floyd's hand, so he will get more reps and his role will expand this weekend. He only played in nine snaps last Sunday.

For the Bears, this is how the injury report looked:

CB Tracy Porter (hamstring): DNP
DL Ego Ferguson (knee): DNP
LB Sam Acho (illness): limited
LB Jonathan Bostic (ankle): limited
CB Sherrick McManus (thigh) limited
LB Pernell McPhee (wrist): limited
