J.J. Nelson to miss time with should injury, LaMarr Woodley limited this week

Brittan Golden might get some playing time now.

The Arizona Cardinals came out of Chicago with a big win and just a couple of injuries. Rookie receiver J.J. Nelson and veteran linebacker LaMarr Woodley left the game with injuries. Woodley's might not keep him out of any games, but Nelson will miss some time.

Head coach Bruce Arians told the media on Monday Nelson suffered what was basically a partial shoulder dislocation and would miss two to four weeks.

With Nelson unavailable for the coming weeks, the logical move is to have him trade roles with Brittan Golden, the sixth receiver on the roster. Golden has been inactive in each of the first two games of the season, but returned punts in the preseason and also can play on special teams.

Arians said Patrick Peterson could get more looks as punt returner with Nelson out.

Of course, it could end up being where the Cardinals lean on only four receivers and Golden gets cut because a roster move has to happen with the return of Bobby Massie from suspension.

The roster move will be known by Wednesday's practice. If Golden is still on the roster, it seems likely he would get his shot against the 49ers to make an impact on the return game.
