Cardinals vs. 49ers final injury report: Andre Ellington, Reggie Bush both doubtful for game

A final look at the injury report for both teams.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Friday meant one final practice before the Week 3 battle between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers. We get one final injury report, and this has the game status. Both teams will be without a starting running back, at least it appears that way.

The Cardinals have one one player ruled out of the game -- rookie receiver J.J. Nelson. He did not practice at all last week. This was expected, as his shoulder injury was expected to keep him sidelined two to four weeks.

Running back Andre Ellington finally was able to participate in practice on a limited basis, but he is still doubtful for the game. It would be a surprise if he were to play. That means another healthy dose of Chris Johnson in the running game.

Guard Mike Iupati was limited in practice again on Friday. He is listed as questionable for the game. Based on everything we have heard during the week, we should expect him to play.

Everyone else on the injury report is probable.

On the San Francisco side, running back Reggie Bush is doubtful for the game, He did not participate in practice at all all week. Those means more Carlos Hyde.

Receiver Bruce Ellington and tight end Vance McDonald are both questionable for the game. Both were limited in practice on Friday, as they were all week.

Everyone else on the list, which also includes offensive starters Carlos Hyde and Torrey Smith, are probable and were full participants in practice.
