The Arizona Cardinals had a bad day yesterday. They were rolled by the Carolina Panthers early, and despite their furious efforts could not complete the comeback attempt as they fell 30-20. On top of that, they struggled with injuries; losing Tyrann Mathieu, Jared Veldheer and reserve defensive back Tharold Simon.
While we have not received much information on Veldheer and Simon, Ian Rapoport has reported on Tyrann Mathieu’s injury.
The shoulder subluxation can be an issue for Mathieu moving forward not so much as an injury, but as a risk of reoccurrence:
While Mathieu is not under 20, he is young, so he will likely have a greater likelihood of subluxations moving forward. Another tough blow in a player that has continuously fought back from injuries. Hopefully this is nothing that hinders his continued efforts to be a great player.
It is at least one good thing that came from yesterday if Mathieu will not be done for the season and should be back within 3-6 weeks.
