The loss to the Carolina Panthers was bad, but the results may be even worse as the Arizona Cardinals will likely be without their veteran left tackle Jared Veldheer for the remainder of the season.
Cardinals' LT Jared Veldheer needs surgery on partially torn triceps, per source. Veldheer had this surgery before and missed 10 weeks.

This is not the first time Veldheer has torn his triceps, and Kent Somers is reporting this teae was the right triceps, after Veldheer tore the left one while with Oakland.
Veldheer tore L Triceps in 13, returned for final 5 games of the season. Now right triceps. wouldn’t think there is time to return in 16

Ten week recovery would put Veldheer eligible to return right around the playoffs, if Arizona makes it that far, but they would have to give up hope on a return of Tyvon Branch or Chris Johnson if that was the case.
It will be an interesting decision, but my gut tells me this is the season for Veldheer, not because the Cardinals will not make the playoffs, but because betting on Veldheer to return in time for the playoffs would be tough.
What do you think?
Is Veldheer done for the year?
In the news on who replaces Veldheer, looks like John Wetzel gets the first crack at being the starter.
I am hoping tomorrow to look at Wetzel's play at left tackle.
