Bruce Arians has officially ruled out Carson Palmer for Thursday, meaning Drew Stanton will get his first start since 2014. The Cardinals next game after tomorrow, will be on Monday night. That gives Palmer more than a week to get healthy.
Palmer being out is not the only Cardinals loss. The team will also be without tight end Darren Fells and defensive tackle Ed Stinson. Fells injury leaves the group depleted, especially with Niklas going on IR last week. That leaves two healthy tight ends on the roster for tomorrow.
With Ed Stinson being out, popular belief would be that rookie Robert Nkemdiche would get a chance on the active roster. However Bruce Arians does not believe this is the game to bring him back, thanks the 49ers ability to run the read option.
Zac Dysert will backup Drew Stanton in the event that he gets injured, or more likely, struggles.
The Cardinals face off against the San Francisco 49ers tomorrow evening. A game you can catch on Twitter, CBS, or NFL Network.
