Arizona Cardinals Player of the Game in big win over 49ers

There were a ton of great performances, which one was the best?

Whew, it feels good to be back in the win column if you are an Arizona Cardinals fan.

Through five weeks, there have been two players that have really set the standard for consistent performance and production on offense, David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald.

On the defensive side of the ball, that has been Chandler Jones and Markus Golden, and in the game yesterday, they were joined by a bevy of others.

However there can only be one, so let’s take a look at the player of the game for week five in the Arizona Cardinals big Thursday Night Football win over the San Francisco 49ers.

David Johnson

What more can you say about Johnson? He is one of the best players in the NFL when it is all said and done; he is the Cardinals best player on offense and maybe the best player on the team.

All he did this week was run for 157 yards at 5.8 yards per carry and score two touchdowns while also catching three passes for 28 yards.

Larry Fitzgerald

Six catches, 81 yards and two more touchdowns for the future Hall of Famer, he is the gold standard for Arizona still.

Markus Golden

While Chandler Jones has been the talk of the town, and rightfully so, Golden has picked up where he left off in 2015, just getting after the quarterback and being a general terror on defense.

Last night he had two sacks, but was wreaking havoc the entire night on the San Francisco offense.

Calais Campbell

I’m sure that safety felt great for big Calais, as he finished the game with two sacks, one for a safety, and an interception.

He is the leader in the trenches on the defense, and showed he can still get it done on the field as well.

Who you got?
