The Arizona Cardinals season really gets underway this Sunday, with a matchup against the struggling San Francisco 49ers.
Unfortunately for the Arizona Cardinals and their fans, it will have to be without their emotional defensive leader, as Tyrann Mathieu will be held out Sunday against the 49ers.
Another loss for the Cardinals will be that of Tharold Simon, who will also be on the shelf this weekend when the Cardinals take the field.

Losing two defensive backs is less than optimal, but the San Francisco 49ers passing attack is not exactly the ’13 Denver Broncos, so that won’t be the worst game to be missing two pieces of a secondary that is really coming into its own.
The rest of the injury report should be good to go, based on Bruce Arians interviews today, which means that Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown are both ready.

Alex Okafor also should be active, which will be good for the Arizona Cardinals pass rush.
