There is a lot of things that can be said about this football game, but in the end, the only thing that really matters is that the Arizona Cardinals won, moved to 4-4-1 on the season and are firmly in the hunt for the NFC playoffs. They join a host of other really mediocre NFL teams in that chase, and that is why with all the bad that came out of this game, lets focus on the good of the Arizona Cardinals 23-20 win.
Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals passing game found their rhythm for the most part. Palmer was for the most part effective finishing 30/49 with 376 yards and one touchdown. He also threw two interceptions, but again, let’s move along.
The running game was non-existent, but again, we are going to move along from that tonight.
Larry Fitzgerald was fantastic finishing with 12 catches for 133 yards, Michael Floyd was great finishing with five catches for 101 yards and the Cardinals passing attack seems to be in the right spot heading to Minnesota next week.
Defensively, there was another great performance in the run game, while the pass defense was good, not great this game, but were able to get consistent pressure on Colin Kaepernick all night.
In the end, it came down to a Chandler Catanzaro field goal and for this week, it was good, and the Arizona Cardinals head into week 11 back in the hunt, keeping pace with the rest of the NFC, with a chance to get even closer to the playoffs next week.
Let’s enjoy it for what it is, even if it was an ugly win.
