Arizona Cardinals Playoff Chances

New, comments

After their bitter loss to the Carolina Panthers, where are the Cardinals playoff chances now?

The Arizona Cardinals playoff chances sit at a paltry 19% based on the Five Thirty Eight sheet, but you have to remember, as of now the Arizona Cardinals stand behind three teams in their quest for the playoffs.

The NFC Playoffs 1&2 Seeds:

Dallas Cowboys (6-1)
Minnesota Vikings (5-2)

The top seed seems like it is going to be tough to pry away from the Cowboys, who have looked like the best team in the NFC. The Vikings meanwhile, there are plenty of questions.

Wild Card Weekend:

Seattle Seahawks (4-2-1)
Atlanta Falcons (5-3)
Green Bay Packers (4-3)
New York Giants (4-3)

What a cluster this is. The Cardinals still play the Falcons and Seahawks, but they really can’t catch the Falcons, but they have to win it, so all wins matter.

On the Outside:

Philadelphia Eagles (4-3)
Washington Redskins (4-3-1)
Detroit Lions (4-4)
Arizona Cardinals (3-4-1)
Los Angeles Rams (3-4)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-4)
New Orleans Saints (3-4)
Carolina Panthers (2-5)

Not Technically Eliminated

Chicago Bears (2-6)
San Francisco 49ers (1-6)

The Cardinals have a fight on their hands. Tampa Bay, Los Angeles and New Orleans can all go in front of Arizona with a win this weekend, pushing the Cardinals down to the 13th seed without even playing a game.

There is a lot of season left, but even more work to do for the Arizona Cardinals.
