There NFL is letting players speak their mind with their cleats, at least for one weekend of the NFL season.
For the Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL, that weekend begins tonight on Thursday Night Football, but extends through next Monday Night Football.
The NFL is going with the slogan “My Cause, My Cleats” and letting NFL players promote a cause they are passionate about with game cleats for Sunday.
For the Arizona Cardinals, they have a number of players taking part, and their cleats have been unveiled.
For Carson Palmer, he will be representing the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
For Larry Fitzgerald, it is his own charity, the First Down Foundation.
For Tyrann Mathieu, it will be RISE (the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality), he is one of several players throughout the league sporting the gold RISE cleats.
And for David Johnson, he is putting his money where his mouth is and supporting Stomp Out Bullying, after writing an amazing story about his own bullying when he was kid from The Player’s Tribune.
Anyway, it will be a much more colorful Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium with the My Cause, My Cleats in effect.
