Bruce Arians announced during his Tuesday press conference that both Safety Tony Jefferson and Guard Tayler Boggs will be placed on IR, effectively ending their season a week early.
Jefferson was injured on the Cardinals very first punt of the game, which was later ruled as a MCL sprain. Jefferson had 96 tackles, two sacks, as well as two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Ironically, the Cardinals top two tacklers are now on IR, with Deone Bucannon being added a week prior. Jefferson will go into the Offseason seeking a new contract, and will likely command big money with how he has played the last two seasons.
Tayler Boggs suffered a shoulder injury in the second quarter, paving the way for rookie Center Evan Boehm to play Guard. Boggs was starting only his second career game in four seasons. With the injury to Boggs, Boehm will get his first NFL start on Sunday.
As of right now, the team has not replaced either player on the roster, but those changes could come soon.
