In something that is becoming commonplace in the NFL, David Johnson has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Johnson had 84 rushing and 91 receiving in last Sunday’s victory, good for 175 total yards on the day. In doing so, he extended his franchise record to 12 consecutive games with 100 or more yards from scrimmage.
In fact, in NFL history, Johnson is only the second player to ever have 100 or more yards from scrimmage in his team's first 12 games, joining Edgerrin James who did it twice in his career (2000, 2005 with Indianapolis).
Johnson has grown into, not only a great player, but maybe the best all around offensive player in the NFL.
His ascension has been cut down by the Arizona Cardinals poor record, but if this team was living up to their lofty expectations, would there be any doubt about his MVP candidacy?
What a unique and special talent we are fortunate enough to cheer for in Arizona. Congratulations to David Johnson and continued success.
