Whew. Revenge of the Birds Radio was going to have show No. 111 anyway on Tuesday night, but with the news of the trade for Chandler Jones, there was so much more to talk about. So that is what we lead with. Seth Cox and I talk for about an hour about the Arizona Cardinals and their offseason moves.
We start with the trade for Chandler Jones. Was it a good move? Was it worth the pick and Cooper? Was Cooper just a throw-in and will he even make the Patriots?
After taking a good portion of the show talking about the trade, we go over the other moves -- adding Tyvon Branch and re-signing a few.
We both like the addition of Branch, we like Stanton coming back, especially when it cost less than we thought it would. We like Gresham coming back, though neither of us understands why he turned down as much money as he did.
Then the offensive line -- we talk about the void at right guard and how puzzling it is the Cardinals have looked at bringing in two guys who only play right tackle -- they pushed hard to re-sign Bobby Massie and they are reportedly taking a look at Andre Smith. What does this say about D.J. Humphries?
We end the show discussing what we anticipate the Cardinals doing the rest of free agency and even talk briefly about what the Cards might do in the first round of the NFL Draft.
