At some point, the Arizona Cardinals are going to draft a quarterback. Maybe it is this year. According to head coach Bruce Arians, there are several who could play in their system.
When Arians and general manager Steve Keim addressed the media on Tuesday, he was asked about the quarterback in the draft and how many are there the team likes.
Arians said "there are five or six" this year, which doesn't always happen.
He didn't name names, but he did listed traits -- at least 6-5, big arm, can move well and come from solid programs.
Based on the list of available prospects, here are the guys who are at least 6-4 (I think BA might have been fudging the height a little bit, as Carson Palmer is the only QB on the roster right now who is 6-5).

There's the height. What about big arm, moves well and from a good program? Cardale Jones is definitely there and he is even 6-5. Jake Coker? Nate Sudfeld? You have to figure both Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are in that group, although Goff is 6-4 and Wentz is from a good program, but it is a good FCS program. Paxton Lynch? He has the height and arm, but is Memphis a good program? If we fudge on the height, you know the Cardinals consider N.C. State as a good program, as that is where Keim went to school. So maybe count in Jacoby Brissett.
The question is whether or not they project as potential starters or backups.
But based on these comments, it certainly makes you think a QB at any point of the draft is a possibility for Arizona.
