2016 NFL Draft podcast: The Arizona Cardinals and the offensive and defensive lines

New, comments

We're talking big guys on ROTB Radio.

IN our second NFL Draft show, for the Revenge of the Birds Radio podcast, Seth Cox and I talk trenches. We spoke of the quarterbacks and the skill players on offense in our last show and in this episode, we focus on the offensive line and the defensive line.

We touch on the cornerback situation and how the starting job appears to be Justin Bethel's to lose and he will be given every opportunity to show in the offseason he can handle the job, especially after giving him a nie contract extension.

Then we talk offensive line. Who are the players who the Cardinals will have no shot at because of having the 29th pick? After Laremy Tunsil, there is a lot of debate as to who is the next best guy.

For the Cardinals, we focus more on the interior line and Seth says he would take Cody Whitehair if he were available. He can play anywhere on the line and some are saying NFL teams are looking at him as a center. Seth would take him over Ryan Kelly because of that versatility. He also goes over guards and centers who could go a little later.

On the defensive line, there are a ton of players worth mentioning. Guys who could be in play for the Cardinals are Jonathan Bullard, Robert Nkemdiche, Chris Jones (who we almost forget to even mention) and a guy Seth really likes -- Javon Hargrove out of South Carolina State.

This show is a lot more of Seth doing the heavy lifting -- this is his wheel house. I mostly sit back and let him talk about prospect after prospect.
