Pro Football Focus has a new mock draft, and for the Arizona Cardinals it means bolstering its defense. Steve Palazzolo mocks three rounds of the NFL Draft and, despite the popular pick of center Ryan Kelly, he has the Cardinals not looking at the offensive line with either their first or third round pick.

In Round 1, they add to the pass rush, taking a chance on a player who has had off-the-field iissues -- Noah Spence.

Spence is one of the draft's wild cards as his off-field issues could drop him quite a bit, but with a thin edge class, his value soars from an on-the-field standpoint. He dominated the Senior Bowl week off the edge and despite concerns about his work in the run game, he should contribute immediately as a pass-rush specialist.

Arizona has not pick in the second round, thanks to the trade for Chandler Jones, so they have to wait all the way to the 92nd pick to make their next selection -- a run-stuffing inside linebacker in Steven Daniels.

One of the best run-stopping linebackers in the draft (top grade in the nation in 2015), Daniels works downhill and destroys blocks and he plays with great instincts to mitigate his athleticism issues. Even if just an early-down player, he provides the thumping presence the Cardinals have lacked in their 3-4 scheme.

The Spence pick is a good one if the team has no problems with where Spence is off the field. He might be the best pure pass rusher of the class. The Daniels pick is okay. Kevin Minter enters the final year of his contract and Daniels could replace him. They sound like the same player. But it is what they envisioned with Minter and Daryl Washington. Now that it is Deone Bucannon in the Washington spot, they need someone to be the Minter, perhaps even in 2016.

It's a pretty good mock draft.
