The Arizona Cardinals enter the final phase of their offseason on Tuesday. Beginning May 17, the Cardinals will begin the first of three weeks of organized team activities (OTAs), which will be followed by a week of mandatory mini-camp.
OTAs are optional, although it is frowned upon to miss them. Traditionally, Arizona gets very high participation.
There will be 10 sessions over the next three weeks -- three this week from May 17-19, three next week from May 24-26 and four the following week from May 31-June 3.
The following week, from June 7-9, the team will hold its three-day mandatory mini-camp.
In this phase of the offseason, it is still considered non-contact. Players will still be in shorts, so it is still considered "soccer" for head coach Bruce Arians.
There will be some media access. I should be in attendance for the third week of OTAs and the week of mini-camp. School is still going on this week and next week.
After that, the team will break until training camp at the end of July.
