So, it's already time for a 2017 NFL mock draft, I suppose. I promise this is the only one for a long time. Once the draft is over, people on the Internet already want to start looking at next year's draft class. Dan Kadar already looked at it and projected a way-too-early mock draft for next year.
How did he determine draft order? It was based on Vegas projected wins. The Cardinals would draft 25th.
Who is the Cards' pick at No. 25? A receiver -- LSU's Malachi Dupre.
Both Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd are free agents after the season, so the Cardinals may need receiving help in next year's draft.
This is a reasonable projection, except for one thing -- Bruce Arians really doesn't draft receivers high.
Nonetheless, it is worth keeping an eye on the 6-3, 190-pound wideout. In 2015, he caught 43 passes for 698 yards and six touchdowns. Twice last season he had over 100 yards.
So don't go crazy, but start looking at some potential prospects for 2017.
By the way, last year's very first mock draft -- right after the 2015 Draft -- totally pegged the Cardinals' pick. Kadar had the Cardinals taking Robert Nkemdiche in the first round, which they totally did.
