As we continue our introductions to the crop of undrafted rookies the Arizona Cardinals just signed, we now look at Appalachian State receiver Jeff Beathard. Here is what the team has as a bio.

Beathard is  5-10 and 190 pounds. He appeared in 48 games during his Mountaineers career and had 34 receptions for 505 yards (14.8 yard avg.) and five touchdowns. Beathard also returned 33 kickoffs for 702 yards and had 21 punt returns for 128 yards and a touchdown. He is the son of Carolina Panthers scout Jeff Beathard, who was Mr. Irrelevant in the 1988 NFL Draft, and grandson of former Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers general manager Bobby Beathard.

He is known as "BoBo." He has been told that the best shot he has in the NFL is as a punt returner and playing slot receiver.

he was not invited to the NFL Scouting CombineAt his Pro Day, he ran a 4.68 in the 40-yard dash and measured a 31.5-inch vertical leap. He benched 14 reps of 225 pounds. he obviously does not have straight-line speed or elite athleticism.

He was a high school star, earning honors at three positions.

Here are some highlights of his college days.

He probably got an undrafted deal because of his bloodline. He doesn't seem to fit the athletic profile the Cardinals bring in.
