Rankings! More and more rankings, this one has to do with the best "triplets" in the NFL, meaning the top three offensive players from each team. Bill Barnwell of ESPN wrote thecolumn, and again the Arizona Cardinals find themselves in the top of the rankings.
5. Arizona Cardinals: QB Carson Palmer, WR Larry Fitzgerald, WR John Brown
You could swap out Brown for Michael Floyd or promising halfback David Johnson, but any grouping of Arizona's triplets has to include Fitzgerald, who underwent a career renaissance after moving into the slot on a more regular basis.
It is always fun to see what outsiders feel about Arizona and how they view their weapons. Many of arguments have been made about the Brown or Floyd being more important, but the fact that they would take either over the dual threat of David Johnson shows that many want to see Johnson have a second year of production before he is "crowned" as one of the best in the NFL.
The other interesting aspect of these rankings, is to see the four teams in front of the Arizona Cardinals, where I can get on board with certain players being better than the Arizona Cardinals, but the triumvirate of Palmer, Fitz and Brown/Floyd/Johnson is pretty damn good.
Where do you think the Arizona Cardinals should rank? How would you fill out the "Cardinals triplets"?
