The Arizona Cardinals have the reputation as a team who throws the ball down the field. The numbers back that up. Pro Football Focus tweeted one of their stats. It was focused on Carolina quarterback Cam Newton, but it tells us about Carson Palmer, who bests Newton.

On average, Newton targeted a receiver nearly 11 yards down the field from the line of scrimmage. "Just behind" Palmer likely means Palmer averaged right at or a little more than 11 yards down the field from the line of scrimmage for his throws.
285 of Palmer's 618 passing attempts were at least 10 yards down the field. 97 of those passes were at least 20 yards down the field.
Bruce Arians' motto seems to be "no risk it, no biscuit." Carson Palmer seems to be doing exactly what Arians wants him to do on offense.
