With only 58 days until the Arizona Cardinals open up the 2016 season it is time to dive into the number 58, what are some stats with the number 58? Who has worn 58?  Will 58 ever show up on the field in Arizona again?

Let's take a look.

  • Eric Hill is the best to ever wear 58, well he was the longest tenured to wear 58 and never had to be suspended or left for a payday.
  • Karlos Dansby wore 58 during his first tenure with the Arizona Cardinals. He was pretty good during that stretch.
  • Freddie Joe Nunn, the Cardinals leader in sacks in a career with 66.5, which is sad in and of itself, wore 58 as a rookie before switching to 78.
  • Some guy named Daryl Washington wore 58 in 2013.  Jason Babin was the last to wear 58 in a regular season game.
  • Willie Crenshaw averaged 58.1 yards per game in 1968.  He finished the season with 813 yards and six touchdowns.
  • Kevin Kolb's career completion percentage with the Arizona Cardinals was 58.5.  For his career Kolb went 58.5% 3124 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
  • Larry Fitzgerald had 58 catches for 780 yards and eight touchdowns in 2004.
  • Rob Moore had 58 catches for 1016 yards and four touchdowns in 1996.

Any more 58's?  Will we ever see the 58 on the field again?
